Our skilled chef and his team dish up a true range of enjoyable meals made all the more pleasing by the beautiful locations in which we eat. We cater to most food allergies with gluten free and dairy free options. We also have a vegetarian menu and can offer Halal meals.

International cruise liners are big and getting bigger – which is great if you want to cruise with 2,500 or more people! But at Blue Lagoon Cruises we believe that part of the unique charm of the experience is the ability to become friends with all the guests and crew. By the end of the first day everyone has had a chance to meet and get to know each other and the crew know you by name! Many guests stay in touch with each other and the crew and meet up time and again on subsequent Blue Lagoon Cruises. The small size of Fiji Princess also means we can get to beaches and bays that bigger cruise liners cannot access.

We have installed filtered water stations throughout the vessel and all guests are provided with a reusable metal drink bottle on arrival as we are a single use plastic free vessel.

Self-service washing and drying facilities are available on-board. Laundry powder can be purchased on-board.

For your convenience, all purchases on-board are charged to your account for settlement at the end of the cruise. Drinks and any other purchases (massage and additional activities such as diving) are put on to a cabin tab and at the end of each day after dinner, guests sign their daily bill to acknowledge all is correct.

Bill payment is made at the end of the cruise just before disembarking. All major credit cards are accepted on-board as well as Fijian dollars.

You may wish to have some small change and notes available for buying souvenirs at the village market. Your cruise director can assist you with this if need be. Please note that there are no banks or ATM machines in the Yasawa Islands. Tipping is not required on-board Blue Lagoon Cruises. However, if you wish to offer gratuity as a gesture of thanks for services rendered, your tips will be most welcome.

No, guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on-board Fiji Princess. Receipted storage facilities are available at check in and remember we’ve got a great range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase on-board!

Yes. It is an essential condition of travelling with Blue Lagoon Cruises that you have valid travel insurance.

Dress is casual and informal (even at dinner time), with emphasis on casual resort wear. Include a light jacket/sweater for cooler evenings and of course, don’t forget to pack your swimwear, sun hat, sunglasses, sunblock, mosquito repellant and a t-shirt for snorkelling. In the evenings, we recommend covering up and using an insect repellent containing DEET or similar.

There is no need to bring bulky beach towels as these are provided and changed each day. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are all provided and there is the ability on-board to purchase a small selection of essential purchases.

Many of our guests fall in love with the friendly nature of Fijian's and are especially taken with the wide-eyed curiosity of the children. The villagers do not expect gifts from our guests, but many of our guests ask us what items they can bring to give away to village children. School supplies (pens, pencils, crayons, drawing/colouring books, notepads and the like) are always most welcome as are sports items such as rugby and soccer balls. Items of clothing are also well received. We do not suggest school learning books as the importation of relevant educational material is subject to Ministry of Education approval.

We do have a large selection of snorkels, masks, and flippers on board for you to use however if you feel more comfortable bringing your own please feel free to do so. Should you choose to use our onboard equipment we will also have new mouthpieces available for purchase (note all our equipment is well sanitised prior to being given to you to use for the duration of your cruise).

Oh and don’t forget your camera and a sense of fun!

Throughout much of the Yasawas, and most of the Mamanuca’s you’ll be able to get mobile phone reception. We offer free wifi on-board, which can be used when connection allows.

No, all activities are all ready included in your itinerary. The only exception to this is diving. If you wish to dive, please advise us prior to travel.

Some countries require a visa to visit Fiji. Please visit the Fiji Travel website for more information.

A first aid kit and defibrillator is kept onboard, but if you have a pre-existing medical condition we request that you inform us before joining your cruise. In case of medical emergencies, evacuation from the ship is possible by seaplane, helicopter or fast speedboat. Make sure you have a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

We are very good at what we do. With 70 years experience cruising Fiji's Islands, we've figured out the winning formula for taking guests to the most beautiful places, showcasing the most rewarding activities and giving our guests the best possible experience in the untouched South Pacific!

As with all countries, Fiji now has entry requirements in terms of vaccinations and testing (as does Blue Lagoon Cruises) ..

Please refer to our Reopening & Travel Updates page for full information that we are keeping updated with the latest Fijian Government requirements.

The Blue Lagoon is an area in Fiji’s Yasawa Islands, named for its mix of aqua and turquoise waters, so stunning that you’ll want to dive right in and discover the coral reefs below. We believe that one of the best examples of the Blue Lagoon is in fact at our very own island, Nanuya Lailai. It’s simply spectacular!

Fijian's are often referred to as the friendliest people in the world. We feel it's important for our guests to experience the authentic, genuine friendliness and helpfulness of the Fijian people. Therefore, we staff Fiji Princess with only Fijian crew, from the Captain to the stewards.

Every way you turn you'll be greeted with a big 'Bula' and ear-to-ear grin and you'll find yourself instantly welcomed into the 'family'.

It's not often you'll have bad weather in Fiji! But if the wind or sea conditions make cruising uncomfortable, we will simply adjust our cruise route to ensure that we stay on the sheltered side of the island chain. If conditions are not suitable for sailing, we will not operate the cruise in the interest of guest safety.

Our skilled chef and his team dish up a true range of enjoyable meals made all the more pleasing by the beautiful locations in which we eat. In the morning, enjoy freshly made omelets or eggs to your liking and in the evening, enjoy barbeques, splendid buffets, and traditional Fijian meals on the menu.
We cater to most food allergies and preferences and we also offer Halal meals.

Yes, fresh beach towels are available whenever you request one. We also have beach mats, which we hand out on shore excursions.

Fiji has a very warm, tropical climate all year around. The rainy season is from November to April, but don’t let this 'dampen' your spirits, as the wet season is usually made up of plenty of sunshine, with only one or two sudden down-pours a day, meaning you can still enjoy your beach holiday!
