Weather Advisory

Weather & Services Advisory

16th of January – 9.30am

Dear Guest, Agents, and Industry Partners,

Please be advised that Blue Lagoon Cruises continues to track all relevant weather forecasts in relation to Tropical Depression; XXXX. As of this morning weather models continue to indicate the system intensifying as it moves slowly in an easterly direction north of Fiji.  The current forecasts now have the weather system developing into a Cat 1 Tropical Cyclone making landfall over the northern regions of Fiji from tomorrow. As the weather system approaches Fiji, we do expect there to be moderate to high winds, heavy rain and rough seas across the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands from Friday afternoon through until late Saturday / early Sunday.

As a result of this adverse weather and Blue Lagoon Cruises priority to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, our crew and our vessel, the departure scheduled for Friday 17th of January 2020 at 3.00pm has now been delayed until 10.30am on Sunday 19th of January 2020. Guests traveling with us are requested to check in prior to 10.00am at Port Denarau and will travel on an amended itinerary as follows.

Please note further important information for all guests:

1.     Guests who join MV Fiji Princess for our delayed departure on Sunday the 17th of January 2020 and enjoy cruising with us as part of the revised itinerary will be issued with a letter to claim for the lost days of cruise via their travel insurance. No refunds will be provided by Blue Lagoon Cruises for the period in which the cruise was delayed nor for additional accommodation costs incurred. These costs should however all be covered by your travel insurance. Guests requiring assistance with booking accommodation on Friday and/or Saturday night should contact Blue Lagoon Cruises reservations who will be happy to assist.

2.       Guests may choose not to travel with Blue Lagoon Cruises as a result of the delayed departure and a full refund will be provided. Any refund will need to be claimed via your travel agent or if booked directly with

Blue Lagoon Cruises the refund will need to be claimed in writing via our reservations team which will take up to 7 working days to process. We can also issue a letter confirming cancellation upon request should this be required.

Please note this information and the revised itinerary is prepared based on the most current weather forecasts and predictions available. Should Blue Lagoon Cruises have a need to make further revisions then an amended Advisory will be issued.
