Weather Advisory

Weather & Services Advisory

16th of January – 9.30am

Dear Guest, Agents and Industry Partners,

Please be advised that Blue Lagoon Cruises continues to track all relevant weather forecasts in relation to Tropical Depression; TD04F. As of this morning weather models continue to indicate the system intensifying as it moves slowly in an easterly direction north of Fiji.  The current forecasts now have the weather system developing into a Cat 1 Tropical Cyclone making landfall over the northern regions of Fiji from tomorrow. As the weather system approaches Fiji, we do expect there to be moderate to high winds, heavy rain and rough seas across the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands from Friday afternoon through until late Saturday / early Sunday.

As a result of this adverse weather and Blue Lagoon Cruises priority to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, our crew and our vessel, the departure scheduled for Friday 17th of January 2020 at 3.00pm has now been delayed until 10.30am on Sunday 19th of January 2020. Guests traveling with us are requested to check in prior to 10.00am at Port Denarau and will travel on an amended itinerary as follows.

·     Sunday 19th of January 2020: MV Fiji Princess will depart Port Denarau at 10.30am and travel north to Yalobi Bay.

·     Monday 20th of January 2020; MV Fiji Princess will cruise to Mouva Reef to enjoy the shark snorkel and onto the Sacred Islands for an afternoon beach experience. Overnight will be at Soso Bay.
