The M.V. Fiji Princess will be your home away from home for the duration of your cruise, except you’ll wake up in a different stunning location each morning.
With nearly 70 years' experience cruising the islands of Fiji, we know all the best places to take you. Who better to show you their home than the Fijians themselves.
We pride ourselves on having an all-Fijian crew and with a high crew member-to-guest ratio, you just know you will be looked after. Our crew will quickly know you by name and every way you turn there will be a big ‘BULA’ welcome.
Blue Lagoon Cruises greets guests from all over the world, so you’ll get to meet travellers from all walks of life and all parts of the globe
Small enough to tie off to a coconut tree…
The small size of Blue Lagoon Cruises' cruise ship, M.V. Fiji Princess is just one of the things that makes a cruise with us so special. Accommodating up to 68 guests and measuring only 179 feet (55 metres) in length, we can access bays and islands that would be impossible to reach in a large ship. We can get so close to shore, that we can tie off to a coconut tree and you can swim to the beach! Here are some reasons we love small ship cruising:
Small ship cruising allows M.V.Fiji Princess to tie up to coconut trees during the day. We can explore the lagoons and coves that would be inaccessible to a large vessel.
With a maximum of 68 guests on M.V. Fiji Princess, no matter which beach or island we visit, you won’t be overwhelmed by crowds. Most the time, our guests are the only people on the beach!
Because of the smaller guest numbers, we pride ourselves on our personal and friendly Fijian service. Everyone is referred to on a first-name basis.
Small ship cruising offers a very relaxed atmosphere and environment. Because of this, you'll adapt with the greatest of ease to 'Fiji Time'.
You only need to unpack once but you’ll visit numerous islands.
Our cruises are very casual and informal. There is no need to bring several outfits to wear for evening functions.
Our guests often make friends for life, given the social atmosphere of small ship cruising.
If conditions are rough due to winds and swells, it's easy for us to alter our itinerary to cruise on the sheltered side of the islands.
Once a week, M.V.Fiji Princess departs Port Denarau for her voyage into the enchanting Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. There, she spends seven days cruising from one spectacular setting to the next before returning to Denarau (this is our 7 night cruise). We also operate a high-speed transfer vessel, which meets M.V.Fiji Princess in the Sacred Islands, connecting our 3 and 4 night guests with the cruise. Operating our itineraries in this way means one thing: we spend more time cruising the Yasawas, and less time getting there!
The excellent onboard facilities include:
An open-air dining room with views out over the sea to the rear of the vessel
Shaded sky deck bar and saloon bar
Sun loungers on the large upper sun deck
A small range of souvenir items for purchase
A library of reading material and games
In room movies available on demand
Glass bottom coral viewing boat
Stand-up paddle boards
Free WiFi (available where coverage allows)
Self service guest laundry
Examples of meals are:
Captain’s Dinner with a selection of entrée, mains and desserts
On-board themed buffets with a vast array of local and international dishes
A traditional Fijian Lovo Feast served under the stars on the beach
Breakfasts have a cold buffet and a selection of hot items from the kitchen.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are not included.
If you have any special dietary requirements, every effort will be made to meet your request. Please advise us at time of booking.
On board casual and informal, even at dinner. To enter villages men will require a sulu (provided) and women need to dress modestly with shoulders covered.
Blue Lagoon Cruises use a high-speed transfer vessels to transport guests on the 3 Night and 4 Night itineraries one-way (either to, or from the Sacred Islands). This allows for Blue Lagoon Cruises' vessel, M.V. Fiji Princess, to remain in the islands, only returning to Denarau Marina once a week.
For transfers between Mamanuca Island resorts and M.V. Fiji Princess we use local operator RIBs or similar. These vessels are known for their comfort and sea-keeping qualities.
