Snorkel With Sharks

We stop off at a beautiful ocean reef, and those who are keen can get in the water with our Blue Lagoon Crew for an experience of a lifetime to snorkel with the local black and white-tipped reef sharks. The crew will be in the water with you for the entire time and will closely monitor the shark’s behaviour to ensure your safety.

Being wild animals, we cannot guarantee sightings, but we do have a 95% + success rate of seeing them. The two main species are Whitetip Reef Sharks and Blacktip Reef Sharks. They can grow to a length of up to 1.8 meters, although they can appear 25% larger underwater due to a snorkelling mask's optical illusion. Whitetips are the dominant species and are an inquisitive shark, not frightened to check you out, while Blacktips are, by contrast, timid and will shy away if they feel threatened.
