Snorkel With Sharks

On a Saturday morning, we stop off at a beautiful ocean reef and those that are keen can get in the water with our Blue Lagoon Crew for an experience of a lifetime to snorkel with the local black and white-tipped reef sharks. The crew will be in the water with you for the entire time and will closely monitor the shark’s behavior to ensure your safety.

Being wild animals, we cannot guarantee sightings but we do have a 95% + success rate of seeing them. The two main species are Whitetip Reef Sharks and Blacktip Reef Sharks. They can grow to a length of up to 1.8 meters although they can appear 25% larger underwater due to a snorkelling mask's optical illusion. Whitetips are the dominant species and are an inquisitive shark, not frightened to check you out while Blacktips are by contrast timid and will shy away if they feel threatened. 

This is a must-do activity in the Yasawa Islands.
