Swimming & Snorkelling

Trips are a-plenty! The colourful underwater world will astound you. Our crew know all the best spots and can give lessons if required. Equipment is provided.

You don’t need to just look at the beautiful, crystal-clear waters of the South Pacific when you travel on the M.V. Fiji Princess. With a maximum of four hours cruising per day, we stop frequently at islands in order for you to experience first-hand all the wonders they have to offer. Snorkelling masks and flippers are given out to guests on their first day of their stay and remain with the guest until check out. All gear is thoroughly sanitized between guests and personal mouthpieces are able to be purchased on board. Flotation equipment is also available for those that would like it.

The waters of the Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands are warm (between 25°C/77°F and 29°C/84.2°F all year round) and have abundant coral reefs teeming with life. Every morning at 6am, 'early birds' can head ashore for a spot of swimming and throughout each day there are plenty of opportunities for cooling off in the sea. For those that wish to snorkel, all equipment is provided on board.

We stop off at a beautiful ocean reef and those that are keen can get in the water with our Blue Lagoon Crew for an experience of a lifetime to snorkel with the local black and white tipped reef sharks. The crew will be in the water with you for the entire time and will closely monitor the shark’s behavior to ensure your safety. A must do activity in the Yasawa Islands.

Our Manta Ray Experience will see you leaping into the pristine waters of the Yasawa Islands to ride the current alongside the majestic manta rays that frequent a particular channel between May and October each year. Seeing these beauties in their natural environment is widely regarded as one of the most amazing experiences nature has to offer! You can swim or snorkel and guides will be in the water with you for the duration. Floatation equipment is available for those that would like it.
