Our Ship - MV. Yasawa Princess II

The 'MV. Yasawa Princess II' Experience

The MV. Yasawa Princess II, new to our fleet in 2026, will be your home away from home throughout your cruise—except each morning, when you'll wake up in a different stunning location. With 76 years of experience cruising Fiji’s islands, we know the best spots to explore, and who better to show you these idyllic islands than the Fijian crew themselves? Our all-Fijian team, with a high crew-to-guest ratio, ensures you'll receive attentive, personalized service. You'll quickly be greeted by name, and everywhere you go, you'll be welcomed with a warm ‘BULA’.

Intimate Cruising

The small size of Blue Lagoon Cruises' ship, the MV. Yasawa Princess II is just one of the reasons why a cruise with us is so special. Measuring 150 feet (45.8 metres), she can access bays and islands that would be impossible to reach in a larger ship – we can get so close to shore that we can tie off to a coconut tree, and you can swim to the beach.

  • With a maximum of 44 passengers and up to 22 Fijian crew, you know you will be well looked after with true Fijian hospitality
  • Because our passenger numbers are small, no matter which beach or island we visit, you won’t be overwhelmed by crowds. Most of the time, our guests are the only people on the beach!
  • The vessel's décor is fresh and modern, with a nod to the company's history in these islands
  • You only need to unpack once and then let your floating hotel take you from one idyllic place to an idyllic experience, every day somewhere and something different
  • Visit traditional Fijian villages, swim in crystal-clear lagoons, and gaze out on tropical vistas you thought only existed in movies
  • Our guests often make friends for life, given the social atmosphere of small-ship cruising
  • Flexible itineraries allow us to adapt to weather conditions, cruising on the sheltered side of the islands when needed to ensure comfort and enjoyment - if conditions are rough due to winds and swells, it's easy for us to alter our itinerary to suit

Cruise Preparation

Blue Lagoon Cruises caters to people of all ages and fitness levels. However, you do need to have a good enough level of mobility to make your way up and down staircases between each deck. While getting in and out of the tender boats can require a certain degree of mobility, the crew will tailor shore landings to suit, and there’s nothing wrong with staying on board for those who would prefer to relax and enjoy the scenery. Note that the MV. Yasawa Princess II has a hydraulic 'rise and fall' platform at the back of the vessel, making it even easier to get on and off our tenders, especially for those who are not as mobile. On or off the ship, the Blue Lagoon Cruises team will ensure that you have a truly memorable experience.

Dress standard

The dress code is casual and informal, even at dinner. We encourage our guests to wear what they feel comfortable in and to leave their dinner jackets and high heels at home. For those wanting to visit villages for cultural reasons, we do ask that men wear a sulu (provided in your cabin) and women dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered.

Public Spaces

Onboard MV Yasawa Princess II, every shared space has been designed to make the most of the stunning Fijian surroundings — whether you're looking to socialise, unwind, or simply soak it all in.

On the Upper Deck sits our air-conditioned Dining Room and bar — a cool, comfortable retreat where most meals are served in style. The indoor/outdoor lounge area is the perfect spot to gather with fellow travellers over a drink and watch the islands drift by.

Step outside to the rear of the Middle Deck, where more comfortable seating areas invite you to relax, unwind, and take in the warm Fijian breeze at any time of day. At the front of the Middle Deck, you'll find our library and lounge viewing area — ideal for quiet moments between island adventures.

At the top of the ship, the Sun Deck transforms throughout the day and evening. By day, it is set up with sun loungers and comfortable seating beneath shady sails — perfect for soaking up the Pacific sunshine. As the sun goes down, the deck is transformed into an alfresco dining space for dinners under the stars (weather permitting) — one of the most magical experiences onboard.

On the Main Deck, you'll find our Massage and Spa, as well as the hydraulic boarding platform for easy access to our tender boats and the stunning shores beyond.
